Consistent performance for Stephen Rubini at the fifth stage of MXGP 2022, whoconsolidates his ninth position in the MXW World Championship.

It was a short but busy week for team Ship To Cycle Honda SR Motoblouz, who faced some logistical troubles between Agueda (Portugal) and Pietramurata. Regular venue of the World Championship and home of six rounds in the past two years, the track was reverse this time and the riders had to get used to it.

Race 1 was marked by a great start from Stephen, who manged to reach P6 right away, but lost some position at the first turn and qualified ninth on Saturday, only ten seconds from a top six result; #38 was more careful in Race 2 and, focusing on the truck and his pace, he managed to mantain P9 for the whole second race.

Stephen raced ten motos so far and finished eight of them in the top ten, securing a ninth position both in the GP and the World Championship.

Josse Sallefranque, Team Manager:Very happy once more with Stephen results, it probably could have been possible to do even better but he is again in the top ten and that’s our goal. It was great to see him fighting in a group of riders who race for a position between fifth and tenth; with a better start and more agressivity the top five is not that far, but there’s more work to be done on the timing”.
