Last weekend, Emil Weckman participated in his national GP in Vantaa, Finland, with the presence of his family, friends, and supporters cheering him on.
Unfortunately Emil’s outcome was not as exceptional as everyone would have hoped.
During the first race, he suffered a hard crash while he was in a good position within the top ten (P. 7) forcing him to retire early.
In the second race he got a good start, but unfortunately collided with other riders in the third row. Despite losing time to assist a rider who had become trapped under his bike and restarting from the last position, Emil was able to recover by moving up the standings to finish in 12th position. In the overall GP classification he finished 16th.
Next race will be in Sweden in two weeks.
