Once again the weather conditions disrupted a stage of the MXGP, this time it was the Italian stage, organized in Maggiora, where Valentin Guillod and Kevin Horgmo got off to a great start on their Honda Ship To Cycle Motoblouz SR bikes. Despite a few crashes, they never gave up, earning good points for the championship.
It rained all day Saturday and in the qualifying race Valentin and Kevin qualified seventh and tenth after a great start ( it was a pity that another rider fell in front of Kevin in the third corner). On Sunday the sun returned and the organizers did a great job preparing the track for the tenth of the twenty GPs.
Both in the top ten at the start of the first moto, Valentin and Kevin found themselves in eighth and ninth positions by the middle of the race; Kevin then lost two positions after a small crash, finishing eleventh while Valentin was ninth. At the start of the second race Valentin was in the top five when a rival tried to pass him causing a collective crash. Back on the track in twentieth, Valentin returned thirteenth, just one position ahead of Kevin who was seventh at the start of the race before a crash on a long and slippery climb; twenty-third after this crash he did not let up to return fourteenth.

Away (1000 km) from Maggiora, the final round of the French Elite was organized in Ernée; missing two rounds scheduled on the same day of an MXGP, our riders compensated for points and Valentin finished the series as vice-champion while Kevin finished fourth, a strong team result!

After a well-deserved weekend off for everyone there will be the move to Indonesia for the next two GPs.
