The third stage of MXGP 2022 came to an end and our rider Stephen Rubini managed to leave his mark once again!
After a long trip from France to Villa La Angostura, Argentina, Team Ship To Cycle Honda SR and the Lovemytraining members started preparing for the race, studying and conquering the difficult track that left many riders injured during the weekend.
Showing grit and techique in the practice session and warm-up, Stephen signed the fifth place in free tests, minus 3/10th of the pole position: a great start to keep up the team’s morale.
Moving to Race 1, the starting grid was not in favor of our rider, who spent the first inning fighting to get back from P13. At the end, he achieved a satisfying 8th position, setting himself with a better start for Race 2, ending in P8 as well.
Team Ship To Cycle is coming home with a 6th position in GP thanks to Rubini constancy for the whole race weekend (8/8), now placing P9 in the World Championship Classification.
Pier Carlo Bottero, CEO of Lovemytraining: “The progress Stephen and the other riders have made is incredible. To see them succed in such important events is the goal of our project and we are glad to have Yves and Team Ship To Cycle by our side. The road is still long, but we can’t wait to show everybody what commitment and talent together can create”.
We are ready to give our best at the next stage in Portugal! Stay tuned!
