Sensational race weekend in Ernèe, France, in which Lovemytraining rider Stephen Rubini made us all gasp with emotion!

The 10th stage of MXGP 2022 brought Team Ship To Cycle Honda SR to France, their home country, and feeling the presence of their fans made the Team and riders want to give their best!

After studying the track, Rubini pulled out a great performance during the qualifying race, placing 5th on the starting grid and achieving another 5th place in Race 1: an amazing result that gave him the confidence boost needed for the next race.

#38 immediately found his pace and kept his position in Top 10 for 3 laps, but unfortunately fell and lost his advantage, ending Race 2 in P22.

Despite the fall, Stephen placed 12th in the GP Classification and he is still in the Top 10 of the World Championship, now in P8!

A good result for the rider and the Team, who have been fighting and showing off their skills for the whole Championship so far.

Josse Sallefranque, Team Manager: “Happy with the weekend, just a shame that it didn’t end the way it started! Throughout the weekend Stephen was fighting for top five results; he did a great first race but in the second one he crashed when he was fifth again; it was not a spectacular one but he fell on his head and had to retire, when the podium was possible. Nothing broken, that’s the most important thing and he will be ready for the German GP”.
