Yesterday it was a great day for our riders at the MXGP of Switzerland, in Frauenfeld: Valentin, Emil and Stephen all achieved excellent results!
Valentin Guillod, who was competing on the home soil, kept his fans’ expectations high by placing 7th overall. After an excellent qualifying session, in which he finished in 8th place ahead of Ruben Fernandez, winner of the first GP, he then had two equally good races on Monday with two good starts and two overtakes in the last ten minutes, finishing 7th in race 1 and 9th in race 2.
Stephen Rubini, in his first MXGP of the season in the major category, finished 14th overall. He finished 14th in race 1 and 13th in race 2, improving by one position.
Emil Weckman in MX2 also had an excellent race: 13th in qualifying, he finished 12th in race 1, despite a crash which had dropped him to 24th place, and 10th in race 2, ranking 10th overall.

Josse Sallefranque: Really happy with Valentin’s performance, to be seventh in an MXGP for a private team like us is really not easy so when you get there it’s even stronger! Valentin overtook and beat several factory riders this weekend, that was great! Emil’s determination is a pleasure to see, he crashes in the first moto and comes back strong, we place the only Honda in the MX2 class in tenth position! First GP for Stephen who did well against opponents who have already competed in two GPs, a good result but we remain focused for the rest of the season.”

We wish our athletes the best in confirming these results at the next MXGP of Trentino, Italy.  Fingers crossed!
