The great series of results for the Ship to Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR team continues, and the hard work done since last winter is paying off as the riders had their tenth consecutive race in Portugal!
After a top-five start on Saturday during the qualifying race, Valentin Guillod confirmed his speed in the races with two top-ten results (10th and 9th) that earned him a ninth place overall and a second place among the “non-factory” riders. Emil Weckman continues to flirt with the top 10 in the MX2 class, the only Honda rider to score points in this class with a 10th and 12th place.
Valentin and Emil will be in Spain next weekend, while Stephen Rubini will be in Bitche for the fifth round of the Elite championship, before joining his teammates for the MXGP of France to be held in Villars sous Ecot on May 20-21.
Josse Sallefranque: “Another solid weekend for the team with a twelfth place for Emil and a ninth for Valentin, we are very happy because we reached our goals and it’s great for the team and the partners! We must continue like this, the races follow one another with Spain next weekend and the the riders are rewarded for the work done alongside Yves Demaria.”
