Missing the final round organized on the same weekend as the Lombok GP, Valentin had to score at least one point in Indonesia to be crowned French champion. In fact, when a GP is organized on the same date as a French Championship, the rule says that you benefit from the average of the points obtained in the different French Elite events, but you must score at least one point in this Grand Prix.
Instead of scoring just one point, Valentin took 36 points in Lombok! Fifth in Saturday’s qualifying race, he took the holeshot in the first moto and finished both races in sixth place for sixth overall, his best result so far!

The weekend was not as good for Emil Weckman, who struggled on the artificial track built on an old airport, finishing 14th in the GP.

Far from the island of Lombok, at Iffendic in Brittany, Stephen Rubini dominated the last round of the French championship, winning the first moto and the overall standings with a second place in race two. For his first season in the 450 class, Stephen placed second in the series behind Valentin, delivering a great result for the team.

Josse Sallefranque: “A fantastic weekend, really very happy! It has never happened before to finish with a one-two in the French championship, what a great experience! It is our 11th national title, really the best for everyone involved! In Indonesia Valentin did his job, getting a holeshot in front of all the official riders and gaining many points to finish the GP in sixth place. Thank you to our riders, partners, and staff for being with us on this great adventure!”
