Home to a GP for more than 20 years, Loket is not an easy track because of its slippery terrain, but this has not been a problem for our riders. This weekend Emil Weckman was the best and confirmed that he is slowly getting back to his best condition after the crash in the French round. In the first moto Emil made a good start and fought all the way to the finish flag to get a very good seventh position; the second moto was more difficult after a bad start, but his fifteenth position brought him to tenth place in the GP.
A crash at the start of the first race relegated Valentin Guillod to last position, but thanks to fast laps he was able to recover to eleventh place in this race. After an excellent start in race two, he was seventh in a fight with another rider when his rear wheel was damaged in a collision with an opponent.
The World Championship continues next weekend in Lommel (Belgium) on one of the most difficult sandy tracks!
Josse Sallefranque: “A good day for Emil who is gradually getting back to his true level, he had a very good first run but missed the start in the second run. He finished the GP in 10th place, in our goals! Valentin had great speed here, unfortunately he missed success when it was possible for him to finish between sixth and tenth again. He made a great comeback with good lap times after the crash at the first start, and in the second moto he was seventh when he broke the rear wheel in a strong collision with another rider.”
