Emil Weckman at the MXGP of Sweden accomplished what everyone was waiting for, having an excellent first moto that he finished in sixth place! He expected to repeat himself in the second moto, but he was unable to avoid a crash when the rider ahead of him passed in front of his wheels; from thirteenth position he re-entered the top ten to finish ninth overall, only three points behind the top 5!
Back on track without being able to train after his injury, Valentin Guillod had a good qualifying session on Saturday, finishing eighth. His first moto was unfortunately short, with a heavy crash after a rock blocked the transmission. In pain, Valentin started the second race, managing to get only two small points after a bad start.
