On the same track in Mataram, but in reverse direction, the second MXGP of Indonesia took place, a week after the first one.
The weekend started well for Valentin, who was eighth in the qualifying race. Ninth at the start of the first race, he crossed the line seventh and did even better in the second one! After another very good start in the top five, which is not his first this season, Valentin was fourth after a few corners and gave everything to keep this position, ahead of Jorge Prado and Jeremy Seewer; despite the final rush of the reigning World Champion, Valentin defended his fourth position until the finish flag, collecting his best result ever with a fourth place in the race and a fifth position overall!
Twelfth in the qualifying race after a crash, Kevin also had two strong races with two top ten results; ninth and seventh in the motos, finishing the MXGP in eighth place and consolidating his ninth position in the World Championship, followed by Valentin in tenth.
A weekend of rest awaits our riders before moving to the Czech Republic for round 13 of the MXGP.
