Considered the most challenging round of the MXGP World Championship, the MXGP of Flanders 2024 took place on the ever-changing sand track of Lommel, making it one of the most exciting races of the season.

Fifth in Saturday’s qualifying race, Kevin Horgmo confirmed his skills on the sand having spent many years with previous teams in in the Netherlands. In the top ten at the start of both races on Sunday, he twice fought close to the top five to finally cross the finish line of both races in seventh position among the factory team bikes. He confirms to be the best “rookie” of the MXGP class.

A week after his heavy crash at Loket, Valentin Guillod did not shine this weekend, never feeling confident on this track. Qualifying in 16th position, he was never able to find a good rhythm on Sunday and did not score any points.

Kevin is currently 8th in the world Championship, while Valentin is 10th.

MXGP now has a short break, which will be a good opportunity for everyone to recover before three rounds in a row with Sweden, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
