The premises for the Swedish GP were not the best: Kevin Horgmo had not been able to train during the week due to a flu; sandy tracks are not Valentin’s favourite!
On Saturday both riders qualified in the top ten, with a twelfth place for Kevin and a fifteenth for Valentin, on a bumpy track that became more and more challenging over the weekend.
On Sunday, following an excellent start, Kevin was in third position after a few curves of the first heat, and by mid-race he was sixth; still affected by the flu, he lost two positions in the last part of the race to finish eighth. In the second heat, hovering between tenth and twelfth position, he finished tenth and was ninth in the Grand Prix.
Sixteenth in the first race, behind Antonio Cairoli, Valentin did not have much luck in the second race when another rider hit his front wheel; last to restart after the fall, Valentin was back in the points, but was forced to retire due to a technical problem.
