Qualifying in 12th and 13th on a dry track on Saturday, Valentin and Kevin raced the first moto on a wet track on Sunday when a heavy downpour hit Kegums just minutes before the race. As always in these conditions, a good start was crucial and Kevin placed his Honda in the top ten at the start, gaining a few positions during the first laps to secure the sixth position. A final move in the last ten minutes put him in fifth place, while Valentin made a strong comeback from seventeenth to tenth.
The sun returned for the second moto and Valentin started from the top ten, while Kevin was a few positions behind; on a tricky track, both made good moves to cross the finish line in eighth and tenth. With Kevin seventh overall and Valentin eighth, we had our best result so far, a great reward for our riders, sponsors and staff.
