The first race of the season means a lot for any rider: it can set the pace of his/her performance and the right midset for the following events.

This weekend in Matterley Basin, Stephen Rubini surely made his entry in 2022 count!

This has been the best start for #38 so far, showing his opponents that he was not there to mess around: Stephen achieved the best time in the warm-up race and ended 5th in race 1 and 10th in race 2, bringing home P7 overall. A great result for the Lovemytraining rider, who made his debut in Team Ship To Cycle Honda SR hard to forget. He was the only one representing his Team this weekend, since his collegue Emil Weckman #125 suffered a knee hematoma while training and was not able to race: we hope he recovers soon.

Josse Sallefranque, Team Manager:After the injuries of Benoit and Emil, Stephen was alone in UK; we’re happy with his performances, he feels comfortable in the team and we can see the result when he’s on the bike as he was all weekend long fighting inside the top ten. It’s great to see him in that position, we don’t have so much experience in the MX2 class but his performance showed everybody how competitive our bike is.”

We can’t wait to see them race together, showing off the progress made this winter with our trainer Yves De Maria!

Congratulations Stephen! Make them bite the dust!
