Another excellent weekend of racing for our rider Valentin Guillod and for the Ship To Cycle team at the MXGP of Trentino, Italy.
Fifth on Saturday in the qualifying race, Valentin confirmed his great physical and mental condition with an excellent start in both races. Seventh in Race 1, he maintained his position in the top ten in Race 2, but then he made some mistakes at the end and finished eleventh. Eighth overall, he is the first non-factory rider of this GP. Congratulations Valentin for your great performance and for bringing good points to the team by placing the CRF450R among the factory bikes!
Emil Weckman in MX2, after a 17th position in the qualifying, made an excellent start in the first moto which allowed him to gain a brilliant 8th place. 7th in Race 2, he had to retire because of a crash on a uphill, which fortunately didn’t cause him any injuries. He placed 14th overall.
It was not an equally fruitful weekend for Stephen Rubini, who finished qualifying in 30th place and only completed one lap in the first moto, as another driver hit him and injured his foot.
Figers crossed for next weekend when we’ll see our riders in action at the French Championship in Vesoul.
