The eighth round of the MXGP took place last weekend in Teutschenthal, Germany, offering a tough series of races. Rain played a major role in the weekend with showers on early Saturday and into the night that made the track difficult and challenging for all riders.
Despite the conditions, Valentin Guillod managed the races well. Starting 14th in the gate, Valentin in the first race held the top ten for a long time before finishing 12th. His second start was even better; he struggled for several laps in the top six against the factory drivers until a small crash cost him several positions. In the end, he finished the second race in ninth place, securing the ninth place overall in the GP. For Valentin, this is his fourth top 10 finish this season, which currently places him 10th in the championship.
Kevin Horgmo faced other challenges. After qualifying 15th on Saturday, he struggled in the starts on Sunday, finding himself around 20th position in the first few corners. Nevertheless, he managed to climb back up to thirteenth place in both races, finishing the GP in the eleventh place overall. Kevin remains ninth in the ranking.
