What a great weekend for the team!

Despite bad weather conditions, Team Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR had a great weekend at Castelnau de Levis for the second round of the French Elite! Stephen Rubini won the MX1 class and share the podium with team mate Valentin Guillod, while Emil Weckman scores a fourth position in the MX2 class!

Due to some heavy rain on Saturday evening and during the night the track was slippery and tricky as the ground at Castelnau is not really earth but clay. Not the best conditions for the riders as it was easy to make mistakes, but our three men rode nearly perfectly all day long. Just two weeks after he dislocate his shoulder at round one, Stephen got two great starts and did two perfect races; winner of the first one he secures the overall win with a second position in the second moto. Valentin didn’t got such good starts on his 450 CRF, and twice he had to fight to come back on the overall podium, his second in a row which allow him to be now second in the standings. For Emil who missed the first round it was not that easy to discover a new track and new racing conditions against the best French riders, always fast at home; with two good starts he was able to battle twice for the podium and with a fourth overall he had a good day to reinforce the overall great result of the team.

Josse Sallefranque, Team Manager: “Very happy for Stephen who was five months without training on the bike after his knee surgery, it’s great to be back on the first step of the podium after a tough weekend at Lacapelle. It’s great, a super win. It was more difficult for Valentin who struggle with two starts in the pack, he came back twice to get a podium and score good points in the series just a week after his big crash in Argentina. For Emil who is not used to race on such a track, against riders who know perfectly the location, it was another good day and a good preparation for the next Grand’s Prix.”
