Once again it was in Argentina that the MXGP World Championship kicked off this weekend, and the Team Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR had excellent results with a tenth place overall for Kevin Horgmo and an eleventh for Valentin Guillod. Now both will race almost every weekend, with MXGP and French Elite.

Having arrived in Argentina with only one pre-season race due to the cancellation of the French Elite in Lacapelle Marival, both Valentin and Kevin had time on Saturday to find their benchmarks on a rougher-than-usual track due to some rain as autumn is coming to Patagonia. Valentin got his first point of the season on Saturday with a tenth place in the qualifying race, while Kevin qualified in fourteenth.

For the races the sun returned and our two riders performed well in race one, with an 11th place for Valentin and a 12th for Kevin. The second race went even better: Kevin was sixth for fifteen minutes, then some of the best in the class (Herlings, Renaux, Coldenhoff, and Vlaanderen) passed him, but with a tenth place in his second race on a 450 he confirmed his full potential, crossing the finish line a few seconds behind Valentin.

As for the World Championship, Valentin is in 10th position, having scored one point on Saturday, while Kevin is 11th.
Now it is back to France and next weekend the team will be in Basly (Normandy) for the first round.
