On the same track as last year, built on an old airport, the 12th round of Indonesia’s MXGP took place.

Sixth in qualifying, Kevin started the first moto outside the top ten group to cross the finish line in ninth position on a tricky track, just behind his team mate Valentin who started better from the seventh gate.

Both riders started the second round well, but the race was different for them: Valentin crashed during the first lap on a slippery track due to unusual watering! While Kevin rode the entire race in sixth position, finishing just five seconds behind Tim Gajser, Valentin finished the heat in thirteenth place; eleventh overall, he had his best result in the last five rounds when considering the points from the qualifying race.

With a sixth place overall, Kevin achieved his best result ever in the MXGP class and remains ninth in the championship, followed in tenth place by Valentin.
