It was in the deep sand of Riola Sardo, Italy, that the Team Ship To Cycle Honda SR faced the third round of the MXGP. Our riders trained for two days on a sandy track and confirmed their skills with a 9th place for Valentin Guillod and an 11th for Kevin Horgmo.
The first race did not start very well for Kevin and Valentin, who were eighteenth and twenty-first, respectively, after the opening lap; both recovered positions lap after lap, until they finished twelfth (Valentin) and fourteenth (Kevin) with ten minutes to go. An accident on the finish costed Valentin positions, while Kevin gained four places and finished in the top ten.
Kevin made a better start in race two, finishing tenth after one lap, while after a crash in turn three Valentin was only twenty-eighth! Valentin came back fifteenth, while Kevin maintained the tenth position until the finish line.
