Qualifying eleventh, Emil Weckman was the victim of a big crash on a wet track during warm-up; he hit his head and made some mistakes later in the races to finish eighteenth in the MX2 class.
On the sandy track in Bitche, Stephen Rubini had a good day and is now second in the MX1 standings, just one point behind the leader; fourth and third in the race, he finished fourth overall, as few “sand riders” entered this race and only this one!
For the first time in a while everyone will have a weekend off, then Valentin, Stephen and Emil will return to racing in Villars sous Ecot for the MXGP of France on May 20-21.
Josse Sallefranque: “Another good weekend for the team, with a new top ten for Valentin in MXGP and good performance by Stephen who is more than ever fighting for the title in the French Elite. This weekend it was more difficult for Emil, who was unable to reach the top ten in MX2 after a crash in the warm up. The weekend off will be good for everyone before we face the MXGP in France in two weeks.”
