At the MXGP of Turkey, due to heavy rain and thunderstorms caused by bad weather, Saturday’s schedule was shortened, leading to the cancellation of the qualifying race for the MXGP class. On Sunday, however, conditions improved.
Valentin, who was the fastest rider in the free practice session and placed sixth in ttime practice, secured a good choice of the starting gate. He took advantage of this opportunity by taking the holeshot and riding in the top five for most of the race. Unfortunately, he lost a few positions due to a crash and limited time to train after his injury in Sweden. In the end, he finished in ninth position. In the second race, he was on track for another top ten finish, but had to retire due to radiator damage caused by a stone.
In the MX2 qualifying race, Emil Weckman started in ninth position and in race 1 he fought twice to enter the top ten that he narrowly missed finishing 11th, but he scored a ninth-place finish in race 2. Overall, he finished the GP in 10th place, in line with the team’s goals.

Josse Sallefranque, Team Manager:Overall pretty happy, with a good day for Emil who was close to the top five during most of the second moto to get another top ten result. Valentin offers us some emotions when he got the holeshot and then battle during several laps in the top three; he will lose some positions after a small crash, and was forced to retire due to a technical issue in race two.”
