It was a satisfying weekend at MXGP of Spain for Stephen Rubini, who finished the ninth stage of 2022 championship in P5, despite the first uncertainties shown during the warm up and qualifying races.
The French rider started his race weekend with a fall in the second inning on Saturday, but after a careful study of the track and its difficulties, he gathered his grit and prepared for Race 1. Battling turn after turn, #38 gained several positions moving from P8 to P3.
Confident of the previous results, Stephen kept fighting to maintain his place on the podium, but finished Race 2 with a 9th position, enough to place him 5th in the GP Classification and remain 9th in the World Championship.
This was another good performance for Rubini, bringing his name, Lovemytraining‘s and Team Ship To Cycle‘s up.
Next stop: MXGP of France!
Stephen and the Team will race at home and we are expecting great things! Stay tuned!
