The weekend started differently for our riders, both in the paddock and on the track at Maggiora, Italy. The visit of the Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy and the return to the historic Maggiora track served to give Valentin Guillod momentum. He didn’t waste any time on Saturday and achieved a second and a fourth position in the practice sessions. Despite his eleventh position in the muddy qualifying race, Valentin offered two excellent performances on Sunday, taking advantage of the improved track conditions. He finished the races in tenth and eighth place, marking a significant return to the Top 10 after facing difficult races following the injury suffered before the Belgian event. Valentin’s ninth Top 10 finish consolidated his ninth position in the championship standings.
The weekend also started promisingly for Emil Weckman, who managed to place in the Top 10 in both practice sessions, finally finishing ninth in the qualifying race. Although Emil started in the middle of the pack in the first race, he gradually managed to get back into the top fifteen by the middle of the race. Unfortunately, during the race he suffered a knee injury that forced him to slow down, and he crossed the finish line in 16th position. Due to the intensity of the pain, both Emil and the team made the difficult decision not to participate in the second race.
