After the difficult weather conditions in Portugal, MXGP participants were happy to see the sunny weather in Spain and to discover the new track of Lugo, Galicia.
A week after getting his worst result of the season in Agueda, Valentin Guillod was stronger than ever in Galicia! Fifth in time practice and seventh in the qualifying race, Valentin made a top start in race one, leading several laps in third position! Fifth for several laps, he then finished eighth and did the same in the second heat, although his start was not as good as in the first race. Ninth in the second moto, he finished eighth in the GP and is now ninth overall.
It was a more difficult weekend for Kevin Horgmo; thirteenth in time practice and fourteenth in the qualifying race, he was forced to retire early in race one due to a technical problem. A bad start did not help him in race two, and on a track that changed a lot throughout the day he finished fourteenth.
Next weekend the team will be in St Jean d’Angely with both riders in the MXGP top ten, and it will definitely be a great weekend with many fans supporting our riders.
